Apple Tree Orchard

This morning I got up early as I often do to go for a walk in the quiet of the day. My plan was to pick apples on this tree I saw on a fenceline to the neighborhood property. Angel asked the lady who lives next to the lot for permission and she told us there used to be an orchard back in there so the tree probably came from that. Well, when I got close to the tree I noticed that the apples didn't look right, "weird" I thought. As I got closer I realized that this tree was not an apple tree but an Osage Orange and it was loaded the way an apple tree would be, but with hedge apples. Maybe it's a different variety than the Osage Orange that was in the yard on Wildflower Street. Oh, well, no apples for me!
